SpringTopia Fest ends in late April, so you still have time to head over to the family-friendly action including rides, games, mazes, interactive activities, refreshments and more, held in the 200,000 square feet of empty parking lots at the closed Topanga Promenade Mall in Woodland Hills.
It features “seven immersive lands” to explore, but keep in mind that for safety there are strict height requirements for some of the wilder rides. For the “thrill rides” like the Zipper and Sizzler, riders must be at least 52 inches high. For “family rides” and the Surf Shack Funhouse, children must be 42 inches high, and to ride on “kid friendly rides” like the Windjammer, the height requirement is just 36 inches.
While Wikipedia these days calls the Topanga Promenade “a dead shopping mall in the Woodland Hills neighborhood” it has turned out to be just right for family events. SpringTopia is not cheap, with a daily ticket set at $36. It ends its run on April 23. Hours for the final two weekends are Fridays 4 p.m. to 10 p.m., and Saturday and Sundays 10 a.m. – 10 p.m.
