Hallways and classrooms at Lake Ripley Elementary were filled with people and activity Thursday during the school’s family fun night.
The “You’re Quite a Character!” event focused on reading with a variety of activities set up throughout the building to engage youngsters and their parents. With 25 different activities, there was a little bit of something for everyone.
Activities, most of them set up in classrooms, ranged from a book walk, to a photo booth, to ring toss, to drawing, to face painting, and many more.
March is Read Across America month, and Lake Ripley Elementary teachers and staff try to plan a family reading event this time each year.
