You’ll find a variety of family-friendly events in Washtenaw County this Easter holiday, including egg hunts, Easter bunny photo-ops and EGGstravaganzas.
Easter is Sunday, April 9. Here’s a list of where to find an event near you. African American Organizations of Washtenaw County and Friends. African American Organizations of Washtenaw County and Ypsilanti Community Schools will host their free Community Easter Egg Hunt Extravaganza from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, April 8, at the Perry Early Learning Center, 550 Perry St.
Children ages 2 through 11 are eligible to participate in the Easter egg hunt. The event also includes games, face painting, prizes and special entertainment for families and children of all ages. Information tables from more than 30 organizations and businesses, including the Ypsilanti District Library, Divine Nine and other African American organizations and the Washtenaw County Health Department will also be at the event.
Robin Hills Farm, 20390 M-52 in Chelsea, is hosting two ticketed Easter egg hunts on Saturday, April 8. Registration begins at 9 a.m., with the first hunt kicking off at 10 a.m. and the second at 12:30 a.m. Participants are asked to bring their own basket.
There are 10,000 eggs for kids to find, and the lucky finder of the “golden ticket” will win a grand prize. Saturday’s festivities will also include a visit from the Easter Bunny, a coloring station, bounce houses and treats from Cake by Kaity. Early bird tickets are on sale now for $8 per child and will increase to $10 after those sell out. Tickets must be purchased in advance at Robin Hills Farm’s website.
